Mom & Pop left this morning and I moved into my new home with Esperanza (my madre) and Toni (my roomie from Wisconsin who happens to be a womb-mate!!) They are both awesome. Esperanza speaks zero English. Not even hello. So it's all Español en la casa. Toni and I aren't allowed to speak English at all. Esperanza said it's all Spanish from here..Spanish music and all. I've already learned so much today talking to her. Although there are times when she is laughing about something she's saying and I am totally lost, I'm really excited about our no-english rules. Esperanza is so nurturing and has really been taking care of us. She showed us around on the metro today and cooked us lunch around 3:00. We had gazpacho (cold tomato soup) and hahahaha... this fish tasting custard stuff. Jesus take the wheel. Oh yeah, she has 20 parakeets, 1 canary and 2 turtles. She loves animals so much that she is a vegetarian..so I'm going veggie this summer. She really really loves those animals and gave a little scowl at the leather stores we passed while walking around the city. I'm scared to use my leather purse..she might kick me outta here if she sees me walking out the door with it. She lives in a really safe, nice part of Madrid in a little flat. It's so cute and one of the oldest in Madrid. After lunch, Toni and took the metro to Puerto del Sol to pick up some stuff at Corte Ingles, the super target of Madrid. Now I am sitting in my little bed listening to one of Jeff Dollar's podcasts. It feels weird to be living in another country by myself, totally out of my comfort zone, speaking another language, but God is good. And He is good all the time and He is going to take care of me..yay!

I read this out of Jesus Calling the other day and it really encouraged me..so much that I wanted to post it.
"I want you to know how safe and secure you are in My Presence. That is a fact, totally independent of your feelings. It is through awareness of My Presence that peace displaces negative feelings." So good.
